More equipment must solve a specific problem

Anyone who has a lot of edges, long hair and frequent wiping can benefit from the extras of the S5V. In a simple open plan apartment, the same extra charge may make less sense. Therefore, make a short list of your recurring cleaning problems. A feature without a suitable use case should not dictate the entire purchase.

Wipe along the wall

The S5V has an extendable FlexiArm mop. The X20+ works without such a wiper arm. In areas close to the wall, this is a difference in equipment that you can consciously pay for. The actual cleanliness still depends on dirt, water, driving frequency and care of the pads. We do not treat the wiper arm as evidence of better wiping performance across the board.

Don't forget drying and follow-up costs

Warm air on the S5V and air drying on the X20+ are different station concepts. In addition to electricity, bags, filters and mop pads should also be considered when considering the overall costs. We will not award an energy saving winner without similar consumption measurements. It is important that you maintain the station regularly and dry the pads between uses.

Which one suits your cleaning rhythm?

For frequent wiping and high hair loss, we would check the S5V first. We wouldn't rule out the X20+ for occasional maintenance of open hard floor surfaces simply because it has fewer extras. If there are a lot of carpets, add a clear carpet strategy before purchasing. Don't be pressured into buying a device whose wiping process is impractical in your own home.
