How we work

We help with the pre-selection. We don't invent tests or hide commissions.

1. Define living situation

Our classification starts with floor mix, carpet height, animal and long hair, furniture height, thresholds, obstacles, apartment size and desired maintenance effort.

2. Check primary sources

We prefer to take technical features from official German manufacturer websites and operating instructions. Where only international manufacturer websites are available, this can be seen from the link.

3. Clearly state the manufacturer's information

Pa numbers, temperatures, battery life, percentage values and recognition promises are manufacturer information. They are not converted into your own measurements or grades.

4. Classify editorially

We explain for which living situation a function is plausible and when it becomes unnecessary, space-consuming or maintenance-intensive.

5. No invented tests

We have not tested the listed devices ourselves in a laboratory. That's why we don't use phrases like “our test winner” or “tested by us”. External test results are only mentioned with a direct source.

6. Update and fix

model generations, availability and manufacturer pages change. Each product page has a source status. Information about errors can be submitted after adding a contact option in the legal notice.
