The difference is at the edges

Dreame combines an extendable mop with a movable side brush in the Gen 3. The QV 35A lacks the extendable FlexiArm mop. Our classification: In a kitchen with lots of bases, this speaks more in favor of Dreame. In a large open area the additional benefit is smaller. Even an extendable mop does not make the occasional cleaning of tight corners unnecessary.

What both stations do for you

Both candidates automate dust emptying and mop care. The QV 35A uses cold air drying. So don't just compare the price of the robot: the station must be easily accessible, and the dirty water tank and washing area need care. If the only storage space is in a narrow cupboard, the more extensive data sheet is of little help.

Include carpets separately in the decision

The Gen 3 raises its mops by 10.5 mm, according to Dreame. This does not result in approval for carpets of any height. Check the runner, fringe and pile height individually. For mixed floors, a consciously selected vacuuming and wiping sequence makes more sense than assuming that the robot recognizes every critical situation itself.

When we would choose which one

With lots of edges and regular wiping, we would check the Dreame offering first. For a tidy apartment with simple spaces, we would also shortlist the QV 35A. If both offers are close to each other, the functions actually used should decide. A large accessory package alone is not a reason to change model.
