How to measure

Don't just measure the visible front edge. The highest point, the depth of the profile and the space in front of the threshold are relevant. A robot can negotiate a flat ramp more easily than a sharp-edged ledge of the same height.

chassis before data sheet maximum

A liftable or adjustable landing gear can help with overcoming. Nevertheless, real transitions depend on tire grip, approach angle, mop condition and floor surface. We therefore treat manufacturer values as an upper guideline.

If the threshold remains too high

A flat, non-slip transition ramp can be more reliable than an expensive model change. If there are several floors, a separate map makes sense; the station usually remains on one level.

Limits this selection

  • Multi-part thresholds are evaluated differently than a single edge.
  • Loose transition strips and cable ducts can shift.
  • Very high transitions often require a fixed ramp or a separate floor.
