Height isn't everything

For low furniture, the highest point of the robot counts. In addition, the robot must be able to turn under the furniture. You should measure narrow areas and flexible fabric coverings separately.

Navigation without high tower

Embedded sensors, front 3D systems or a retractable LiDAR tower reduce the overall height. However, the systems differ when it comes to darkness, small obstacles and data protection.

Practical furniture check

Measure sofa, bed, sideboard and radiator cover. For the first few trips, do an observation lap and close off areas where the robot can barely get out.

Limits this selection

  • Retractable towers are only retracted under the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
  • A barely fitting robot can get caught on carpet or bumps.
  • Very flat does not automatically mean good small part detection.
