A mopping function is particularly worthwhile if there is a lot of sealed hard floors and regular use. For mostly carpets or infrequent mopping, a good robot vacuum with a smaller station is often sufficient.
Three systems
A passive cloth picks up light dust. Rotating pads work more mechanically and can be lifted or put down. In some models, a wiper roller is cleaned while driving, but itself needs regular care.

Measure the pile height. Raising the mop a few millimeters will not protect a high carpet. Models that place mops in the station or have a roller cover separate dry and wet more consistently.
Realistic expectation
robots keep floors cleaner in everyday life, but do not replace every manual basic cleaning. Dried spots, edges and inaccessible areas remain the most challenging areas.
